SCHITZ
Schitz was referred to us as a kitty with something very strange and ugly happening to her eye. The owner had been hurt financially by the pandemic, and was unable to undertake a vet bill. We were concerned that Schitz could lose that eye, so we teamed up with “Live to Purr Another Day” rescue (Simone Kuska) to have her seen promptly by a vet in Bushnell. The diagnosis was that kitty had a third eyelid which had somehow gotten torn up and required surgery. With the help of a fellow rescuer, we were able to get that surgery performed immediately, and Schitz is now pain free and able to see with both eyes. Great outcome. Thank you, Simone and Dr. M!
